KenGen en Kenia tiene una serie de ofertas de trabajo para puestos geotérmicos, incluso para Gerente General, desarrollo geotérmico.

Como parte de una variedad de nuevas ofertas de trabajo publicadas en el sitio web de la compañía (consulte todas las vacantes aquí), Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) busca ocupar el puesto de “GERENTE GENERAL, DESARROLLO GEOTÉRMICO – HRAD/GDD/01/03/ 2022” – La fecha límite de solicitud es el 31 de marzo de 2022.

Reportando al director Gerente y CEO, el titular del puesto es responsable de promover la huella de energía verde de KenGen al maximizar el potencial de recursos geotérmicos en el país y proporcionar liderazgo en energía geotérmica en África.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Leading and providing thought leadership in the development and implementation of Geothermal Developments’ strategies.
  2. Developing policies, and procedures to achieve KenGen’s strategic objectives.
  3. Coordinating and overseeing the following divisions: Reservoir and Steam field; Drilling and Logistics; Civil and Infrastructure, and Resource Assessment and Development.
  4. Guaranteeing sustainability of KenGen’s power generation and enhancement of green energy.
  5. Ensuring effective and efficient revenue generating activities.
  6. Developing and implementing safety programs for staff, stakeholders, and security of assets within Geothermal Development Department.
  7. Preparing briefs for the Executive management and strategic papers for consideration and approval by the Board of Directors.
  8. Preparing, implementing, and monitoring departmental budget.
  9. Implementing procurement plans for the department.
  10. Ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems ( EMS), occupational health and safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  11. Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff using relevant human resource tools.

Person specifications

  1. A minimum period of fifteen (15) years in relevant work experience at least five (5) years in senior manager role in a large organization.
  2. Master’s degree in Geology/Geochemistry/Geophysics/ Physics/Engineering, Business Administration, Project management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Geology /Geochemistry /Geophysics / Physics/Chemistry/ Geomatics/Engineering.
  4. Post graduate diploma in Geothermal Energy Technology will be an added advantage.
  5. Membership of good standing in relevant professional bodies.
  6. Demonstrated high performance and leadership in previous roles.
  7. Fulfil the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.
