NCPA está buscando un candidato para que asuma el cargo full-time de gerente de planta geotérmica. El cargo es con ubicación en Middletown, California.

El cargo dirige y coordina todas las actividades de la planta geotérmica y de sus empleados, cerca de 43 aproximadamente, desarrollando un liderazgo estratégico y de gestión en mantenimiento, operación y mejora de las instalaciones. Instalaciones considera: 2 planta de 55 MW cada una; campo de vapor (70 pozos); 26 mil tuberías con 4 estaciones de bombeo: total 220 MW.

Responsibilities

Manages three subordinate supervisors and superintendents who supervise a total of 43 employees in the Geothermal Maintenance & Operations, Reliability and Technical Services and Steam Production. Manage the Geothermal Facilities in such a way as to ensure operations are within the guidelines and policies put forth by the Agency and Assistant General Manager, Generation Services. Initiate the necessary actions to achieve and maintain expected levels of efficiency, reliability and cost-control. Organize and participate in the planning, testing, scheduling, installation and removal of facility equipment. Justify, compile and monitor the maintenance, operating and capital budgets.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in power plant operations, maintenance and/or engineering and must possess knowledge and experience in power plant operating procedures and processes, operation & maintenance management, safety and environmental compliance, budget preparation and control practices, community involvement and supervision.
  • 10-12+ years of experience in field
  • Four year degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred but not required; or minimum ten to twelve years related experience in progressively responsible generation plant positions with the last five to seven years in supervisory/management role in a union environment; or equivalent combination of education and generation experience. Demonstrated experience in geothermal generation and steam-field knowledge is strongly preferred.
