This Geothermal Energy News Website was created to provide a place to post industry news, e.g. deals, project and international development. There currently is no other dedicated geothermal energy industry news website, so ThinkGeoEnergy is providing a unique platform for industry news and announcements.

Alexander Richter
The site has been created by Alexander Richter, Director at the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association (CanGEA).

He was a founding member of Glitnir Bank’s Global Geothermal Energy Team (website), now Íslandsbanki. He lead the bank’s geothermal research efforts and and worked on business development with clients globally. In his role he also represented the bank at various international industry events globally and has been the author of most of the research published by Glitnir and now Islandsbanki, including the annual U.S. Geothermal Energy Market Report.

Cooperation
ThinkGeoEnergy works together with a number of players in a cooperative partnership to provide up-to-date news about the sector and providing insights into the global geothermal energy sector.

 

ThinkGeoEnergy also maintains a cooperation with Australia-based advisory and strategy firm Activated Logic. As part of the Global Geothermal Alliance of Activated Logic and Islandsbanki, ThinkGeoEnergy supports the activities of the alliance globally and will publish research and strategic documents of both on the website.

 

Media Partnerships

ThinkGeoEnergy maintains media partnerships with geothermal organizations and trade associations, as well as conferences world-wide. The general goal is to inform the general public and interested parties to follow what is going on in the industry and what are current topics and discussions.

Among others ThinkGeoEnergy cooperates with the following organizations: the U.S. Geothermal Energy Association (GEA), the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association (CanGEA), GeoPower – Geothermal Conferences. A number of further agreements with similar organizations are in preparation.
